Barbara Miles, 72, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed February 1, 2024 in Ft. Mitchell, AL.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at St. John Church in Fort Mitchell, AL with Rev. Tameko Allen, officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Public viewing on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10-5 p.m. EST.
Barbara Ann Miles was born on March 25, 1951, in Seale, AL to the late Farris Butler and Florence Kennedy.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John A.M.E Church where she served as a stewardess and a member of the Inspirational & Mass Choir. She's a graduate of Mt. Olive High School Class of 1972. She was an Eastern Star of Modern Free Princess Chapter 194, where she served as the Grand Matron, Queen & faithful officer. She's a three-time retiree of Fort Benning Martin Army Hospital & Love Dental Clinic. She also was a substitute at Mount Olive Elementary for many years.
She was proceeded in death by a great granddaughter McCair B.K Miles & daughter Petra L. Miles.
She is survived by her three children; Anita Miles of Phenix City, AL, Toreno (Priscilla) Miles of Fort Benning, GA, Marcus(Chastity) Miles of Fort Mitchell, AL; four brothers, Frank (Mary)Kennedy and Clifford Butler both of Fort Mitchell, AL, Farris Butler of Killeen, Texas & Floyd Butler of Los Angeles, California; Ten grandchildren, Kuyaunnis (Maria) Miles of San Diego, CA, Kuylaun Miles of Columbus,GA, Kahnyalissa Sellers of Phenix City, AL , Jasmine Johnson, Britnee Baxter, Toreno Miles Jr. , Nahdia Miles all of Columbus, GA, Marcus Miles, Shantoria Miles both of Phenix City, AL & Jha'Quadrian McIntosh of Fort Mitchell, AL; 11 great-grandchildren: Kem, Kennedy, Kobe, Kensley Paige, Carter & Ava Miles, Saniyah Miles-McClain, Charlie Rose Miles, Jamere Johnson, JaLiyah Render, Noah & Nyla Baxter; a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.
