Mrs. Barbara A. Stewart, 72, of Phenix City, passed Friday, January 19, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. EST, Friday, January 26, 2024, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Jeffrey Dancey, pastor, officiating. Burial in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Public viewing on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Barbara Ann Stewart was born May 1, 1951 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Milton Carter and the late Rosie Carter.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gean Thompson and two brothers, Willie Carter and Melvin Carter.
Barbara joined Central Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Phenix City School System and graduated with the class of 1970.
She was united in holy matrimony on September 4, 1992 to the late Mr. Jimmie Ray Stewart.
Barbara leaves to cherish her fond memories a son, Jeffery Carter (Luciana) of Phenix City, Alabama; two daughters, Jasmine (Charles) and Nicole Stewart of Phenix City, Alabama; three brothers, Richard Carter of Columbus, GA, Davied Carter of Washington and Freddie Carter of Phenix City, Alabama; an aunt, Claudia Alexander; five brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law; 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

I haven't known Mrs.Barbara long but she has been a very sweet and beautiful person inside and out from the time I met her . My deepest condolences and sympathy to her daughter Jasmine and grandson Kaden; along with her family and friends . You will be missed. My ππ½ππ½ to you all.
It's hard to believe that you are gone when I just saw you not to long ago. Such a loving and sweet person and a second mom to me. Thank you for being there for me specially the times when I called you to vent about things :) We love and will miss you.
