Betty Nickerson-Brewer, 74, passed on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Edmond Cemetery, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Harrison Ford, officiating. No public viewing.
Mrs. Betty Nickerson Brewer was born on January 25, 1951 to the late William H. Nickerson and Katie B. Upshaw-Nickerson in Phenix City, Alabama.
On Tuesday, March 25, 2025 she departed this life at her home surrounded by her family in Phenix City, Alabama.
At an early age, she confessed Christ and united with Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama with the late Rev. R.L. Walker as pastor. She was a member at PHMBC for over 35 years.
Betty was a Textile Technologist for Southern Phenix Textiles with over 30 Years of Service before retiring.
She graduated from South Girard High School Class of 1969. She attended Cosmetology School in the early 70's. She had a passion and special talent for hair-styling, cooking, and baking. She loved to cook soul-food meals.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents William and Katie B. Nickerson; her husband, Harry Brewer; three brothers, John B. Nickerson, Ned Nickerson, and Donell Nickerson.
Betty is survived with precious memories and will forever be cherished by one sister, Arlinda Nickerson of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Robert (Levern) Miller of Detroit, MI; one brother in law, Larry Brewer of Columbus, GA; god daughter & niece, Courtney (Michael) Johnson of Midland, GA; and a host of special nieces, nephews, great nephews, one great niece, cousins, and friends.
