Billy Jones was born in Phenix City, AL on November 2, 1952 to the late Joe Jones and Aggie Mae (Patterson) Jones.
Billy graduated from Central High School in 1972. After graduating, Billy joined the United States Army and served for 20 years. During his time in service, he met and married Adrienne Moore. Soon after, they were blessed with two children, a daughter LaShelle and son Billy Jr. Billy was a proud member of the Free Masons. He retired from the Army as a Staff Sergeant (SSG) in 1992. He then moved back home to Phenix City and worked for the Phenix City Board of Education for 25 years before retiring again.
Billy was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Which if you asked him, they weren't his grandbabies, they were his babies. He loved and cherished his grandchildren more than words can say. He spoiled and loved them to their heart's desire. Billy was a kind and caring man with a big heart for helping and serving friends and family and people in the community. He enjoyed working on and maintaining his vehicles especially his truck. He loved music, especially jazz, and he liked to fish. What made him the happiest was spending time with friends and family. Quality time with his family is what he loved most in life and he was extremely proud of.
Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Adrienne Jones; his parents Joe and Aggie Jones; father-in-law Abraham Moore; mother-in-law Ruth Moore and sister JoAnne Ellis.
He leaves to mourn him, his children, LaShelle Jones and Billy (Meghan) Jones, Jr; three grandchildren, Haleigh, Aubree, and Billy III (Trey), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
