"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens.”
On Friday, May 30, 2025, Brad, affectionately known as Don, a beloved husband and father, gave in to the "Master's Call”. He left us to enter the unspeakable joy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, where he found rest.
Brad was born June 16, 1952, in Russell County, AL, the second child born to the late Johnny and Eula Davis Alexander. He was preceded in death by one sibling, his brother Johnny Alexander, Jr.
Brad accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as a young child and joined the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until death.
Brad was united in Holy Matrimony to Bernice Beasley in 1972. Unto this union, they were blessed with three wonderful children.
Brad was a hardworking man and devoted provider for his family. He began his career in the cotton mill and later retired from WestRock (paper mill) after more than 25 years of dedicated service.
Brad was an avid enthusiast of fast cars and hot rods. He loved working on cars and trucks, always fixing or tinkering with something in the yard. Whenever you saw him, he was quick to talk a little trash about his latest project or what he had parked out in the yard. He was well known in the community for his deep love of fast vehicles and his mechanical know-how. In addition to his passion for cars, Brad also enjoyed spending time fishing and relaxing outdoors.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Bernice B. Alexander; five children—two sons, Danar (Denese) Alexander of Pittsview, AL, and Bradford E. Alexander, Jr. of Phenix City, AL; three daughters, Crystal (Bruce) Finney of Birmingham, AL, Shakenzie Alexander of Atlanta, GA and Tracy Sneed of Ft. Mitchell, AL; one brother, Randy Dee Alexander of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Patricia Alexander of Seale, AL; three grandsons, Caleb Alexander, Brandon (Tomeka) Battle, and Blake Collins-Finney; one granddaughter, London Finney; four sisters-in-law; Dorothy Williams, Cynthia Leonard, Sandra Beasley, and Barbara Alexander; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Beasley and Tom Beasley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
“I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven is the one who make himself humble like this child.” - Matthew 18: 3-4
