Calvin Flint, 69, of Phenix City, AL passed on May 27, 2026 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 8:00 a.m. EST on Friday, June 5, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Elder Alfonzo Moore, officiating. Burial to follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Calvin passed away on May 27, 2026, with his loving family. In Calvin's early years, he was a boxer for the Elmira Neighborhood house with Mr. Chuck Jennings. He was very athletic; he ran track, played basketball, and played football for Albany State College. The saying was " in light, Flint does it again." Calvin was a great brother, husband, father, and friend. Also had a business with his role model and best uncle, Robert Adams, otherwise known as Snookie, whom he loved very much.
Calvin joined the army in May of 1983 and served as a 92Y. While serving in the Army, Calvin devoted much of his time to coaching youth basketball and football. He took on the role of a father figure to kids everywhere he went and was loved by all. Calvin served 27 years in the Army. He retired and worked for Lockheed Martin until he retired.
Calvin was predeceased by his mother, Lessie Flint-Adams; his father, Joe Flint; niece Chaunthia Flint; nephew Leon Flint; and great-niece Zaahira Amin.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Judy D. Flint, two sons Lavar J. Flint, Terrell D. Flint, daughter Caileigh J. Flint, four grandchildren Khymanee Flint, Kasiah Flint, Yulani Flint, Kade Flint, Sister Sharon (Charles) Williams of Canandaigua, NY, Brother Aaron Adams of Canton NY, Calvin had a very special bond with his brother and sister in-laws Joyce Brown, Marnita Brown, Paula Brown all of Elmira, NY, Dianne Brown of Rincon, GA, Rufus Brown Jr of FL, Enoch Clark Jr. of Elmira NY. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends that cherish his friendship: Gary Swan of FL, Malcom Jenkins, David Rosser, Donald Brown, Johnny Ramond, Darrell Shelby, and Wayne Mitchell.

I can't put into words how you're truly going to be missed. It unbelievable brother that you're not here anymore. Over 20 yrs of friendship, coaching each other's children and having you as a neighbor. Brother, God has you now. May Jesus bless you and your family. Sleep well bro.
