Carolyn Cobb, 70, of Indianola, Mississippi passed on May 20, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. EST on Friday, May 31, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Steven Short, officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, May 30, 2024.
Carolyn Sampton Cobb was born December 18, 1953, to Viola Freeman (Portfield) in Indianola, Ms. She received her high school education at North Division High School, in Milwaukee, WI. Carolyn was a CNA and worked at Canterbury Nursing Home until she became ill.
Carolyn accepted Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and often visited Pinehill Missionary Baptist Church and McCartha Drive Church of Christ.
Carolyn loved playing games, listening to music, watching movies, eating seafood, and spending time with her family in her leisure time.
Carolyn S. Cobb departed this life on Monday, May 20th, 2024. She’s preceded in death by her mother Viola Porterfield, grandmother Annie Rogers, husband Jessie L. Cobb, daughter Latonia D. Adams, brother Willie J. Sampton, brother Roosevelt Sampton, sister Bobbie Smith, and sister Patricia A. Henderson.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Samuel (Angie) Clements Jr., Hampton, GA, Joseph Adams, Milwaukee, WI; one daughter, Denise (Dwight) Thomas, Columbus, GA; step - children, Terry (Amanda) Jackson, Phenix City, AL, Michael Davis, Smith Station, AL, Tonya Cobb, Midway, AL; four sisters, Mary (Lindsay) Parker, Shelia Sampton, Amanda Sampton, Milwaukee, WI, and Marilyn (Greg) Hill, Phenix City, AL; one brother, Bruce (Elizabeth) Sampton, Princeton, WI; eleven grandchildren; five great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
