Obituary For Catherine "Kat" Dixon
Ms. Catherine “Kat” Dixon, 59, of Columbus,GA passed Tuesday, June 16, 2026 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Bethleham Crossroad Baptist Church, Ft. Mitchell, AL with Rev. P.D. Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, June 22, 2026.
“Kat” formerly of Phenix City, AL was born July 10, 1966. She accepted Christ at an early age and carried her faith with her throughout her life. She was known and loved by many and was always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter the need. Her kind heart, beautiful spirit, and caring nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Above all, Catherine cherished her family and friends and found great joy in spending time with those she loved. She was also a well known cosmetologist in the area who served many faithful clients.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Dixon and Polly Dixon; her sisters, Doris Alexander and Annette Dixon.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved fiancé, Allen Franklin; her brother, James Dixon (Mary Dixon); her children, Byron Dixon (Shannon Dixon) and Zakereya Feagins; her grandchildren, Sha-Leah, Keshawn, and Jenifer; her nieces, Kristen Kimber and Tanya Martin (Greg Martin); her nephew, Kyle Kimber; her great-niece, AuBree; her great-nephew, Adarius; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure her memory.
Though Catherine's presence will be deeply missed, her love, kindness, and the many lives she touched will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
