Mr. Charles C. Davis, 66, of Wichita Falls, TX died Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. EST Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL with Dr. Evelyn Jacobs, officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Davis was born December 16, 1955 in Atlanta, GA to the late Katheryn Dugged Rembert and Clinton Sterling Davis. He accepted Christ at an early age.
He received his education through the Fulton County Public School System, graduating in 1974. He later joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War while stationed at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He served his country well and was honorably discharged. Upon his return he was hired at the Columbus Foundry, Columbus, GA. He was a dedicated employee for over 20 years.
Charles was united in marriage to Peggy Wilson James (Davis) in 1995, after over 20 years of marriage they decided to part ways, but remained devoted friends to one another. On June 19, 2021, he married Jo Ada Perry in Wichita Falls, TX where he called home until his death. He was a faithful member of Living Impact Word of Faith Church CCM where he rededicated his life on June 14, 2022, under the leadership of Pastor Supt. A.M. Jones and Asst. Pastor Deacon Roosevelt Jones.
He had many hobbies: knife collecting, spending time with family, watching wrestling, watching the Falcons Football Team and enjoying his dog, Red Girl.
Charles was preceded in death by his late wife Jo Ada Perry Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Damascus Session, Charles Davis, Jr. (Cena) of Atlanta, GA and George Davis of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Tovelle James of Opelika, AL and Kiara James of Phenix City, AL; 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
