Charlie Mae Terry, 64, of Columbus, GA. passed on August 19, 2025 in Columbus, GA
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m EST, Saturday, August, 30, 2025 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Columbus, GA with Rev. David Dawson pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Evening Sunset Cemetery, Old Seale Hwy, Phenix City, AL 36869.
Ms. Charlie Mae Terry was born in Midway, AL on February 12,1961 to the late Lueranie Williams and Joie Cobb.
She accepted Christ at an early age, joined Nero Baptist Church where she attended for many years. Later in life she became a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia where she served as an usher.
Charlie attended and graduated from Russell High School in 1980 and was employed in the textile industry for many years.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Michael Terry and sisters: Gertrude Williams, Mary Laster and Lueranie Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughters: Evonie (Rodney) Jones of Springville, Alabama and Quasha Toombs of Columbus, Georgia. Grandchildren; Rodney Aaron Jones II of El Paso, Texas, Laila Jones and Ryan Jones of Springville, Alabama; Ma’Laysia Stallings of Columbus, Georgia; Seven sisters: Mary (Tommy) Brown of Fort Myers, Florida, Juanita Reid, Patricia (Stanford) McCauley, Bernice (George) Cosby all of Phenix City, Al. Frazier Mae (Charlie) Turpin of Cocoa, FL, Fannie Noel of Denver, Colorado; two brothers Lonnie Williams of Phenix City, AL and Henry (Ruby) Cobb of Hurtsboro, Alabama. Aunt Ella W. Cobb of Hurtsboro, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
