Mrs. Christine Lattimore, 93, of Columbus, GA, passed Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. EST, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 222 5th Street, Columbus, GA with Rev. Johnny Flakes, III, pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be from3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, November 20, 2025.
Christine Drain was born April 21, 1932 to the union of Comer and Ionia Drain. She was the fifth of six children. She was educated in the Russell County School System and attended Alabama State University for a short time after graduating high school.
Christine accepted Christ as Savior and Lord at an early age and united with three churches, i.e. New Central Baptist (Phenix City, AL), Forrest Road (Columbus, GA) and Chestnut Grove (Athens, GA). She served on the Finance Ministry at Forrest Road and as a trustee at New Central; Chestnut Grove was her last church of record before her health declined.
Christine was a faithful and loving wife and mother. She was employed as a housekeeper for several families before becoming a teacher's aide. She retired from public employment with Dolly Madison Bakery. She supported and encouraged her younger brother, children and grandchildren in all their positive endeavors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Sr., a daughter, Belinda Joyce, and four siblings, Martha, Sadie Bell, Lawson and James Willie.
βMama Cβ leaves to cherish many fond memories, her brother, Harold (Margaret) Drain and his two children, Tanya Webb and Marcus (Jasmine); her children, Wilson, Jr. (Linda), Sandra, Ronald (Jerene), Norman (Teresa); grandchildren, Christopher (Amekia) Whittlesey, Lativia Whittlesey, Bryan (Amy) Lattimore, Kelvin (Natasha) Lattimore, Iris Lattimore, Crystal (Rashaad) Dixon, Candance (Carlos) Burton, Amber (Raymon) Brazile, Kimico (John) Sweet, Jimmica Lattimore, Jordan Lattimore, Terichael James, Derante' Brown; special nephew, Dolphus Lewis; and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

I'm so grateful to have known your mother. She was a kind, caring, and beautiful person inside and out. She will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. She was lucky to have a daughter who love her so much.
