Christine Rowell, 60, of Smiths Station AL, passed on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Smiths Station, AL with Rev. Tommy Davis, Pastor, and Rev. Miriam Harland, officiating. Burial to follow in Motts Church Cemetery. Public viewing is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, September 5, 2025
On September 21, 1964, in Phenix City, Al. Sister Christine Rowell began her earthly journey as the daughter of the late Raymond Frazier and Jolene Frazier.
In the early afternoon hours of Saturday, August 23, 2025, God peacefully called Christine home to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Eddie and Lonnie Farley, maternal grandparents, Earley and Bertha Thompson, one brother Lamar Frazier.
At an early age, she committed her life to Christ and became a devout member of Friendship Baptist Church in Hamilton, Ga. Upon relocating to the Lee County community, she joined the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Smiths Station, Al. where she served as a devout member of the usher ministry.
Growing up in Hamilton, Georgia, Christine graduated from Harris County High School in 1985. Upon graduating high school, she was employed with the Lee County School System.
Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband of thirty-five years, Milton Rowell of Smiths Station, Al: two children, Maurice Rowell and Kristina Rowell both of Smiths, Al; one grandchild, Kason Rowell of Smiths, Al; two sisters, Bertha (Walter) Frazier-Fannin of Pine Mountain, Ga and Valerie Frazier of Smiths, Al; three brothers, Tommy L. (Shelia) Frazier of Phenix City, Al, Richard (Patricia) Frazier of Columbus, Georgia and Toney (Hillary) Frazier of Phenix City, Al; two aunts, Earline Armour of Smiths, Al. and Nellie Jones of Columbus, Ga; mother-in-law, Amie Rowell of Smiths, Al; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Robert) Roberson and Judy Roberson of Smiths, Al; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
