Christopher “Gold” Sanders was born on July 10, 1973, to the late David “Pop” Sanders and Charlie Mae Fuller-Sanders.
He attended Smiths Station High School and later Jordan Vocational High School, where he began building the foundation of the man he would become. In his younger years, he developed a passion for boxing, carrying with him strength, discipline, and resilience that would define much of his life.
Christopher was also known for his vibrant spirit and charisma. Alongside his brother, he became a familiar face at local nightclubs, where the two were known for their dancing, bringing energy, style, and unforgettable moments wherever they went. Later in life, he earned the nickname “Gold,” a name that not only reflected the gold teeth he proudly wore but also the richness of his character.
Above all, Christopher valued family. He loved deeply, protected fiercely, and stood as a constant source of strength and protection for those closest to him.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter, Christiana Sanders; two sisters, Latonya (George) Rolland of Phenix City, Alabama and Princess (Anderson) Kemp of Columbus, Georgia; two brothers, Michael (Monica) Sanders of Lanett, Alabama and Stephon Horace of Phenix City, AL; four uncles, Charlie Ray Fuller of Smiths, Alabama, Prather Sanders, Jr., Larry Sanders and Lonnie Sanders, Sr. all of Columbus, Georgia; six aunts, Linda (Frank) Heard of Smiths, Alabama, Barbara Hardy, Deloris Battle, and Gloria Hightower, all of Columbus, Georgia, Mary Thomas and Dorothy (Kenneth) Gary of Phenix City, Alabama; three grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
