Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home 1514 5th Ave, Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Desi Morgan, officiating. Public viewing is 1:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, July 5, 2024
Ms. Classie Mae Huntly was born August 6, 1951 to the late Mr. German Crawford and Mrs. Willie Lee Crawford in Hurtsboro, Alabama.
Our beloved passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital, Columbus, Georgia.
Known simply as “Ms. Classie” by many, she loved the Lord. She has been a long time member of Pleasant Hill A.M.E Church. She married at an early age to Mr. Richard L. Huntly, former spouse and long time friend, creating 4 children. She worked over 40 years with Westpoint Stevens Textiles, but retiring from Hanwha.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Midsy L. Huntly.
Ms. Huntly is survived by three children; Sabrina (Jerry) McNeel of Kennesaw, Georgia, Regina Martin of LaGrange, Georgia, and Richard (Nefertiti) Huntly II, of Opelika, Alabama. Mother; Mrs. Willie Lee Crawford of Phenix City, Alabama. Sisters; Betty, Roberta, Essie, and Delores, all of Opelika, Alabama. Brothers; Climael and Willie James, both of Phenix City, Alabama.12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A host of additional family and friends.
