Obituary For Clifford Jay Simmons, Sr.
Clifford Jay Simmons, Sr., 66, passed on September 9, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, September 18, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial in Green Acres Cemetery. Public viewing is 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
Mr. Simmons was born on July 24, 1959, in Phenix City, AL, to Katie Johnson Simmons and the late Clifford Jenkins. He was employed by Swift Denim and later by Denim North America until his retirement due to disability.
He is survived by three loving children: Mary Ramsey, Kimberly Vesga, and Clifford Simmons, Jr.; one cherished granddaughter, Kiara M. Addison. He also leaves behind four sisters: Patricia Williams, Shirley Williams, Yvonne Wright, and Constance Williams; a devoted brother-in-law who was raised as a son, Rodney Trotman, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
