Curtis Rodgers, 71, of Phenix City, AL passed on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon EST, Friday, March 27, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Public viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST on the day of service.
Curtis Rodgers, affectionately known as Cub, was born on August 25, 1954 to Clotee Rodgers and Johnnie Rodgers,Sr. in Midnight, Mississippi.
Their blended family included 11 children. George, Celestine, Robert, Johnnie Jr., Annie, LC, Joseph, Curtis, Florence, Gerome, and Juanita.
Curtis was the eighth of 11 siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George, Robert, and sister Celestine.
Curtis alongside his siblings and mother Clotee, worked long hours, often starting before sunrise and not finishing , but calling it a day after Sunset.
"Cub" proudly served in the United States Army.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Curtis S. Rodgers and Kenneth A. Taylor. He is also survived by family members of Rodgers, Richardson, and Lambert descent.
