Cynthia “Cindy” Wright, 59, of Salem, AL passed on Friday, October 3, 2025 in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon EST, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church, Crawford, AL, with Rev. Dr. Raynetta Prevo-Willams, pastor and Rev. James Q. Smith, eulogist. Interment will be at Canaan A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Seale, AL. Visitation will be 1 - 5 p.m. EST, Friday, October 10, 2025.
Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Wright was born on February 10, 1966, in Lee County, Alabama, to the loving union of Mrs. Sarah Nell Wilson Wright and the late Mr. Roy Lee Wright. From the beginning, Cynthia’s life was marked by kindness, strength, and a deep sense of faith.
At an early age, Cynthia accepted Christ as her Savior and became a devoted member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Crawford, Alabama, where she served faithfully. Her spiritual foundation remained a guiding light throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Smiths Station High School, Class of 1984, Cynthia embarked on a dedicated career in the workforce. She began her professional journey at Swift Textile and later found fulfillment working at Smiths Station Junior High School, where her warmth and compassion touched many lives.
On Friday, October 3, 2025, Cynthia peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Mr. Roy Lee Wright; her sister-in-law, Melissa J. Wright; and her niece, Tyesha M. Colquitt.
Cynthia’s legacy lives on through her devoted family. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Mrs. Sarah Nell Wilson Wright; her sister, Wounda Faye Wright; her brothers, Roger Younger (JaDon) Wright and Royce (Lisa) Wright; her beloved son, Vantravius Royfeytte Chadwrick; her nieces, Arlissa Beundra Wright, Sarnissa Keundra Wright, Sharnetria JaVon Wright-Ballard (Walter), and Asya Quendra Wright; her nephews, Randolph Anthony Colquitt and Ethan Isaiah Moses; her great-nieces, A’Niah Ladawn Colquitt and Saliyah JaTina Torbert; her great-nephew, Walter Ballard, IV; her devoted companion, Jacques Marquis Knight; extended family member, Perry Darnell Huling; and her cherished fur baby, Lu Lu.
Cynthia also leaves behind a host of relatives and dear friends who will forever remember her radiant smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love.
