Daisy Marie Banks-Truttling, 59, of Columbus, GA passed on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EST at Columbus First Seven Day Adventist Church, 7880 Schomburg Road, Columbus, GA 31909 with Pastor John Piroski, pastor, officating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Public viewing will be January 31,2026 from 3-5 p.m. EST.
Mrs. Daisy Banks-Truttling was born December 29,1966, in Columbus, GA, to Jessie J. Banks, Sr., and to the late Ida M. Banks. She was a long-time member of Columbus First Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Columbus, GA. Daisy retired from Columbus Consolidated Government after 31 years of dedicated service.
She peacefully departed this life on January 21, 2026. She was called home to rest from her labor to receive her reward, the Crown of Life.
Daisy kept her faith with God doing her difficult time. Daisy was a loving, caring, humble and sweet person. She was always willing to help anyone in need. When you saw Daisy, she greeted you with a smile. She had a sense of humor, making a joke here and there, bringing laughter in the room. Daisy loved to travel and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death, by her mother Ida M. Banks, she was also met at the pearly gates by her brother, the late George W. Banks.
She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 7 years, Augustine Truttling; one surviving son, Joshua J. Banks; her nine extended children,Shaykier Fleming, Ezekiel(Delicia)Truttling, Cedrit Hunter, Cartesa Hunter, Augustine J. Truttling, Brittany (Antoney) Fortson, Adrianna Gary, Andrew Gary, Sunetria Edmond; 14 extended grandkids; two surviving sisters, Debra(Maurice)Brown, Wanda F. Banks; three surviving brothers, Toney L. Smith, Jessie J. Banks, Jr., Frederick D. Banks; five nieces, Kenisha, LaTisha, Laniese(Noonie), Jimecheia (Rashad), Raysheen; two nephews, Kareem, Jermaine; four great-nieces, Kamilian, Riana, Kamari, Kristan; seven great-nephews, Jakevious,Isaiah, Landon, Kaleb B, Kaleb E, Keeon Jr, Kingston; one great great-nephew, ZβRon and a host of family and friends.
Daisy you will be truly Miss my sister a very happy person every time I saw you or talk to you
Me and Daisy would walk to Jordan High School together. She was a quiet, sweet and very humble young lady. May God wrap his arms around her family and comfort them. Love you, Daisy.
