Mr. Dave B. Talley, 48, of Columbus, GA passed Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Darrion McCoy, officiating and Dr. Titus Roberson, eulogist. Public viewing from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, June 8, 2024.
Dave Bernard Talley also known as “Lil Dave” or “Moe” was born September 29, 1975, to Dave Talley and the late Linda Wiggins Smith both of Columbus, GA.
He departed this life and entered Eternal Rest on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Piedmont Columbus Regional- Midtown surrounded by family and friends.
He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined New Providence Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.
Dave worked as a Dedicated Logistics Associate in Columbus and Atlanta, GA.
Dave’s favorite thing to do was to be around family and friends. He had a special gift of making others feel like a part of his family with generosity and kindness that had no boundaries. He was the definition of a true sports fanatic. He proudly repped the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlantic Falcons every chance he got, making unforgettable memories that will live on forever. Dave was truly the life of the party. He could light up the room with his remarkable smile and he never missed an opportunity to spread his joyous spirit. His greatest joy of all time was breaking bread with those whom he loved so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Wiggins Smith; stepfather, James Smith; grandmother, Tossie Mae Tally; two aunts, Daisy Adams and Fannie Curry; two uncles, Charles Talley and Sylvester Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his wife, Kimberly Talley of Savannah, GA; stepchildren, Jahnae Goldwire and Jahquise Goldwire, both of Atlanta, GA; along with six step- grandchildren; father, Dave (LauraAnn) Talley, Columbus, GA; two sisters, Teresa Roberson, LaGrange, GA and Kira Smith, Columbus, GA; one brother, Sky Smith, Columbus, GA; brother-in-law, Dr. Titus Roberson, LaGrange, GA; mother-in-law, Sharon Morgan, Savannah, GA; aunt, Delores (Kyle) Johnson, Columbus, GA; two uncles, David (Carol) Talley and Freddy (Debbie) Huff both of Columbus, GA; four nieces, Taylor Roberson, Trakira Marshall, Khamira Merritt, and Marqaicha Haynes; three nephews, Tramale Marshall, Tramir Marshall and Semaj Haynes; one great-nephew, Jordan Roberson; his extended family, including bonus mother, Gladys Smith; bonus brothers, Latorie (Michelle) Williams, Roman (Whitney) Smith; bonus sisters, Morlsha Williams, Jafozie Smith; god-mother, Cornelia Grant; god-sisters, Kelita Grant, Candice Barrigher and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
Mo you gone be truly missed cuz you kept a smile on your face no matter what you was going through. Now you can rest cause your assignment has been complete We Love you when you get up there with your Momma, my Momma and the rest of the family tell them I said I love and miss them so much and I will see all of you when I get there just save a seat for me.
