Obituary For David Henry Heard
Mr. David Henry Heard, 64, of Columbus, GA passed Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix City, AL with Rev. John Cofield, officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. EST
Mr. Heard, was born in Lee County, AL on August 16, 1958. He was the youngest son of the late Willie Heard and the late Essie Heard.
David was educated in the Phenix City Public School System. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Columbus State University after 20 years of service in Columbus, Georgia.
His hobbies were watching football, westerns, and a lover of fine jewelry.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Heard; brothers, Willie Lee Palmer, King Heard and sister, Doris Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories four stepchildren, Star (Calvin, Jr.) Williams, Danny (Gloria) Alexander, Reginald Alexander and Lewis Walton; one sister, Edith Stallings; one brother, Oree, Sr. (Catheree) Heard; two dedicated nieces, Debra Allen and Melonise (Timothy) Reese and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
