Obituary For David Lee Bellamy

Mr. David Lee Bellamy, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, June 30, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother Timothy Buford, officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. Public viewing is 1:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

David Lee Bellamy, affectionately known as “Big Nunt”, departed this earth on Saturday, June 30, 2024 at his home in Phenix City, AL. He was born on February 21, 1947 to the late Sam Bellamy and Mary Miller-Bellamy. He was a retired roofer. He was well known at the Marathon Gas Station formerly known as Marty's Mini Mart where he would frequently visited.

Mr. Bellamy was well known for his kind heart and gentle gesture. He will truly be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his lifetime partner, Carolina Buford; son, Matthew Buford; grandson, Terrance Bellamy; brothers, Sam Bellamy Jr., Frank Bellamy (Cathryn), George Bellamy, Rosevelt Bellamy, Albert Phillips; two sisters, Mary Bellamy-Taylor and Betty Jean Warren.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Ayana Bellamy, Sebrina Bellamy, & Samantha Bellamy all of Phenix City, AL;one brother, Henry Lee Bellamy, 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends that loved him dearly.
