Mr. Demetrice D. Thomas, 35, of Columbus, GA passed Saturday, December 24, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Saturday, December 31, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Harrison Ford, officiating. Burial to follow in Motts Church of Christ Cemetery, Motts, AL. Visitation is Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. EST.
Mr. Demetrice Dwoyne Thomas was born on June 9, 1987 to Kelley Thomas-McDougal and Andre Simms. He attended Carver High School and obtained his GED from Tillinghurst Night School.
He loved his kids, loved hanging out with family, making everybody laugh, cooking different foods and eating all his favorite foods. He would come to every family dinner and kept a smile on his face. He would love to laugh and watch comedies.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael D. McDougal; step-father, Michael D. McDougal; maternal great grandmother, Daisy Morgan; maternal grandfather, Joseph Thomas, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Earsie Lightfoot; aunt, Priscilla Lightfoot and uncle Joseph Willis.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his mother, Kelley Thomas- McDougal; father, Andre Simms; sons, Zashwan D. Thomas and Keadyn D. Thomas, who he was very close to and loved dearly; niece, Jaliyah McDougal; two uncles, Joseph Thomas, Jr. and Terry Thomas; aunts, Sylvia Thomas and Wanda R. Thomas who were like second mothers and loved him dearly, Ruby Berryman and Earsie Scott; cousins who were like his brothers and sisters, Dorothy D. Thomas, Sylvia Davis, Teneshia Davis, Khaneshia Thomas and Joseph Hunter; maternal grandmother, Dorothy M. Thomas and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
