Dennis Gerome Seldon was born June 5, 1962 in Phenix City, AL to the late Willie Louis Lowman and Marie Seldon Lowman. Dennis departed his earthly life on Tuesday, August 24, 2026 at Piedmont North Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Dennis was a hardworking family man of God. He was employed by the City of Alabama until his health started to decline. Dennis was an active and faithful member of New Central Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Usher Board. Dennis loved his church family and will be truly missed. His memories of praise and worship will live on as all of us who have worshipped with him have witnessed his unforgettable chants and dancing from his usher post. He was not shy to move nor chant whenever the spirit called.

Dennis was a family man. His happiest times and proudest moments were having family gatherings and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to jank and make people laugh. You would get so upset and then end up laughing with him because he was so funny. He was the life of the party and loved to dance. He loved family gatherings, always wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. He was a true Alabama Rolltide, Atlanta Braves, Falcons, Hawks, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed honey hot barbecue wings, extra wet with lemon pepper sprinkles; wing night will not be the same without him!

Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving mother, Marie Seldon Lowman; three loving daughters, Cielita Lowman Brown (William), Denisheous Henderson Burch (Markel), and India Lowman; one son, Arcadia Lowman, all of Columbus, GA; three brothers, Michael Lowman, Tony Lowman, and Rickey Lowman (Sharlene) of Phenix City, AL; one loving and devoted sister, Tonya Lowman Graham (Shurod); eight grandchildren, William Jr., Trajen, Arcadia Jr., A'xaria, E'lijaha, E'Yonna, Marliyah, and Myla all of Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Send flowers to the service of Dennis Seldon

I've known Dennis my whole life. We went to school and church together. He always had a smile on his face. He was always making jokes. I pray that the family remember all the joy he brought to them and others and may GOD strengthen and give you comfort during this difficult time.
