Desmond Patterson, 43, of Hatchechubbee, AL passed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in Hatchechubbee, AL.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Howard Chapel A.M.E Church. Hatchechubbee, AL. Burial in Mt. Arrie Baptist Church Cemetery, Hatchechubbee, AL. Public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Brother Desmond Patterson was born in Atlanta, GA on September 20, 1982, to Deacon Lewis and Ethel Patterson.
He attended Russell County High School in Seale, AL where he played in the Russell County marching band. He graduated from Russell County High School in May 2000. He attended Columbus Tech in Columbus, GA and Southern Union in Opelika, AL.
He confessed Christ in 2000 and joined Mount Arrie Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Youth and Young Adult Choir and the usher board.
He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Patterson and brother Eric Patterson.
Desmond leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Ethel Patterson; grandmother Willie Mae Samuel; five aunts; Caponier Whitaker(Alonza), Cathleen Green, Betty Richardson, Daisy Armstrong (Frank) and Benella Patterson and an uncle; Lee Martin Samuel; one great aunt; Marie Clausell; two great uncle; M.L. Fortson, and Lewis Fortson, and a host of loving cousins and friends.
