Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 848 Washington Ave, Columbus, GA with Rev. Olivia Massey, eulogist; Pastor David Williams, officiating. Visitation is from 12 - 5 p.m. EST, Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Djuamiel D’Nicholas Huff, age 52, transitioned peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Atlanta, Georgia. Born on November 2, 1972, to Sylvia Huff and Henry Frazier, Djuamiel lived a life marked by compassion, purpose, and service to others.
A proud product of the Muscogee County School System, Djuamiel went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Marygrove College. Guided by his deep empathy and unwavering faith, he dedicated his career to helping and advocating for individuals struggling with addiction recovery and substance abuse.
His lifelong mission culminated in the founding of Thru the Fire Recovery, a non-profit organization established in 2025 to provide hope, healing, and second chances to those in need.
Djuamiel accepted Christ at an early age at Allen Temple AME Church. Throughout his life, his faith remained his compass and source of strength. He was best known for his brilliant mind, captivating storytelling, sharp wit, and a heart that welcomed everyone he met.
Djuamiel never met a stranger — he made people feel seen, valued, and loved.
Djuamiel’s memories are forever embedded in the heart of his newly wedded wife. He also leaves to cherish his memory a devoted mother, Sylvia Huff, and father, Henry Frazier; his beloved son, Djuamiel Huff; three precious grandchildren, Kemya, Amir, and Princess; three sisters, DeAnne Huff, Octavia Huff McNair, and Rosanne Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Djuamiel’s legacy will live on through every life he helped transform, every story he shared, and every act of kindness he gave without hesitation. Though he has completed his earthly assignment, his light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
