Obituary For Dorothy Henry

Dorothy Henry, 84, passed on Monday, October 27, 2025 in Columbus, GA.

Celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Spirit Filled Ministies, Columbus, GA with Rev. Zephaniah Baker, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 12 - 4 p.m. EST.

She fought the good fight and kept the faith, and she finished her race. Mrs. Dorothy Screws-Henry was born April 30, 1941 to the late Clifford and Evelyn Screws in Russell County, AL.

Dorothy (Tiny) was employed at Enrichment Services Inc. for over 38 years where she cherished feeding children with developmental needs and also served for Meals on Wheels to support the elderly community. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior early in life at County Line Baptist Church in Eufaula, AL where she served on the usher board. Later in life she was a member of Spirit Filled Ministries, where she served as a stewardess.

She was a true socialite, involved in The Order of the Eastern Star (Faith Chapter 331), Gleneden Social Club, and the Red Hat Society.

Dorothy (Tiny) went home quietly at Columbus Hospice in Columbus. GA on Monday, November 27, 2025. We know she is resting in eternal peace and we miss her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Jackson (Odis); sons, William Jackson Jr. (Denise) and Tommy Kilo; her brothers, John Screws and Williams Screws.

Left to cherishing her memories are her husband of 30 years, Moses Henry; her children, Bonnie Bellamy (Dennis); Brenda β€˜BJ’ Morris (Ernest); Stanley Jackson (Katrina) all of Columbus, GA. four sisters, Essie Bell (Henry) of Columbia, SC; Kathryn Turner (James), Essie Jackson (Phillip), Wendell Gibbs (R.J.) all of Eufaula, AL; four brothers, Clifford Screws (Regina) of New York; Joseph Screws (Jennifer) and Danny Avis (Ida Dean) both of Eufaula, AL and Elvis Screws (Eva) of Clayton, AL; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
