Obituary For Edward Williams

Mr. Edward Williams, 80 of Smiths Station, AL passed Monday, September 20, 2021 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Monday, September 27, 2021 at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Pryce Battle, Sr. pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in the old cemetery Visitation will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Williams was born August 12th 1941 in Lee County, AL to the late K.C. Williams and the late Erie Mae Williams Passmore.

Mr. Williams was converted and joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, he loved the Lord and his family. Mr.Williams was employed by Swift Textile for over 40 years.

Mr. Williams graduated from Wacoochee High School in 1960, being the second graduating class. He later attended Phillips College and CVCC.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his mother, Erie Mae Passmore and his stepfather who raised him Robert Passmore, Sr; four sisters, Ocie Pearl Jones, Mary Crawford, Ruby Mott and Rosa Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, Jessie Passmore( his devoted care giver) Robert Passmore, Jr. (Dondrea) of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Flora Jennings of Columbus, GA (Edward) and Frances Person (Joseph Jr.) of Olather, KS; one aunt, Mildred Jones of Phenix City, AL; a devoted niece, Shearnell Smith, also helped with his care; host of nieces, Teresa Duncan, Alicia, Anita and Monique; nephews, Hiwatha Williams, Theodoysius Passmore, Alonza Jones, Joshua, Joseph III, Terrel, Terrance and Edward Jr.; and a host of relatives and friends.
