My condolences to the Dawson family, I met Elmer many years ago we drove trucks for the same company when I started there he showed me everything i needed to know about what to do and not to do but he always said most importantly be safe i will always remember him for that. Elmer was a great guy he will be missed.

You were more like an uncle than a cousin. I remember growing up you and your family always made your way down to Okc. It was always a moment that my siblings and I looked forward too. To know you was to love you! You've never wavered in who you were as an individual. Down to earth, out spoken, loving and down right funny. You never missed an opportunity to crack a joke and make one laugh. A true stand up guy you were. Sending hugs, kisses and prayers to your mother, wife, children and grandchildren. Rest in love 🙏🏽❤️

I met Elmer, over 45 years ago and when I first met him, I wasn't sure what kind of relationship we would have. He appeared to be extremely out spoken and a man who did not mince his words. It didn't take long at all to learn that yes he was a outspoken man who absolutely did not mince his words, but he was one of the nicest, funniest, caring, straight forwardest, fairest guys around. I never wondered what he thought of me because he always let me know. I loved him for being just who he was, and will truly miss his presence on this earth.

Two peas in a pod, now that you are gone, I have pod for sale. Really if anyone knew the life that you and I lived for over 60 plus years, let me say I will truly miss coming down and hanging out with you and james, in his back yard. I will be coming down this weekend for the send-off you have always said you wanted.
