Obituary For Ernest Lee Perry
Ernest Lee Perry, 90, of Smiths Station, AL passed Thursday, January 10, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Smiths, AL with Rev. Jeffery McCauley, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Ernest Lee Perry was born September 27, 1933 in Smiths Station, AL to the late Horace Perry and the late Louise Wilson Perry. He departed this life on January 10, 2024 at the age of 90. He accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he served in the choir. Ernest was employed at Leshner Mills until his retirement. Ernest married Rosie Mae Gary Lamb Perry together they raised eight children.
Survivors include his children, Ernestine Perry, LaRose (Augusta, Jr.) James, Patrick (Barbara) Lamb, Dorothea Lamb and Mary N. Lamb; a sister, Mae Francis Fleming; a special grandson, Justin Perry; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
