Ernestine Jackson, 54, passed on January 19, 2026 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST, Friday, January 30, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Jones, officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter A.M.E. Church (Old Cemetery), Seale, AL. Public visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Mrs. Ernestine "Stine" Jackson was born on March 15, 1971 in Russell County, AL. She was the daughter of the late Mr. James Robert Mobley and her surviving mother, Elizabeth Jones.
Ernestine devoted her life to Christ at an early age to St. Paul C.M.E. Church. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, John Jackson, of 35 years. She loved helping others and was always willing to help others in any way she could. She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1990 in Phenix City, AL.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted daughter, Sheneka (LeMarrius) Moore of Phenix City, AL; six sisters, Christine (Parris) Lockhart, Tiffany (Shamar) Baker, Shelia (Antonio) Coxum, Consuela Green, Jennifer Harris, and Nikki (Johnny) Williams all of Phenix City, AL; three brothers; Markus (Angel) Harris, Patrick Harris, and Rashawn (Charline) King of Phenix City, AL; one God daughter, Willisha Corley of Columbus, GA; brother-in-laws, Ulysses (Jessie) Upshaw, O.C. (Remona) Jackson, Tommy (Claudine) Jackson all of Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law, Sadie (Tony) Floyd of Smiths Station, AL; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Last but not least, of course her and John's dog baby; Orie Girl.
