Obituary For Frances Gibbs

Frances Gibbs, 67, of Columbus, GA passed on Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Friday, February 6, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Otis Robinson, officiating. Public viewing is 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST on the day of service.

Frances L.Gibbs was born on January 16,1959, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Annie L. Foreman and John. Frances was raised in Akron, Ohio where she graduated from South High School class of 1978. She moved to Georgia in 1992, where she worked at St. Francis Hospital and later Char-Broil during the late 1990s and early 2000’s.

Frances was a loving, caring and spontaneous woman, she raised four successful children whom she loved dearly. She was well known for her fashion and style, her silly and contagious laugh could light up any room, with her radiant smile. She truly embodied both fire and ice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon D. Gibbs.

She leaves to cherish her memory four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren children; Dartaysha (Lyndon) Johnson, Darnell Foreman, Dewayne (Shikita) Foreman and Duvennia Foreman; grandchildren, Dequavius Foreman, Chastity Foreman, Sunia Washington, Kevonta Foreman, Ta’niya Elam, Ta’kyla Elam, Asha Foreman, Destinee Foreman, Kamorah Miller, Vontrell Wiggins, Kamiyah Miller, Dior Foreman, Makai Mcmickle; she is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; special friends and family, Irisha Miller and Cathy Porter.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her legacy of love lives on through her family. Rest in peace, until we meet again.
