Mr. Freddie Lee Williams, 77, of Columbus, GA passed Thursday, September 14, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, September 23, 2023 in the C.T Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Raymond Cochran, officiating burial in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023 from 1-5pm EST.
Mr. Freddie Lee Williams was born November 6, 1945 in Phenix City, AL, to John Henry Williams, Sr. and Effie Mae Williams. At an early age Mr.Williams accepted Christ as his personal Savior.
He served in the the United States Marine Corp in Vietnam, retired from W.C Bradley and worked at Golden Foundry. He was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a friend to many people.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Williams, Sr. and Effie Mae Williams; loving wife, Betty Jean Williams; brother, John Henry Williams, Jr.; uncle, Cleveland Epps; nephews, Marcus Williams, Gregory Williams and niece Angelia Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Kathy René Williams Pollard (Lawrence); step son, Curtis Hosea Williams Atlanta, GA, and fiancé Bobbie Morris; sister, Mamie Williams Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law, Velma Brown, Augusta, GA; three brothers, Jessie (Bertha) Williams of Hammond, IN, Curtis Williams Phenix City, AL, and Eddie (Tammie) Williams Columbus, GA; two uncles, Lavonne (Willie) Epps of IN and Arthur Epps, Phenix City, AL; aunt Peggy Benton, Phenix City, AL; aunt-in-law, Johnnie Mae Miller (Stringer), Augusta, GA; five grandchildren, Christopher Williams of Germany, Erika (Azzel) Benton, FT. Hood, TX, Bianca Pollard, FT. Bliss, TX, Leonard (Datareon) Richburg, Charlotte, NC and Khadeshia Williams, Atlanta, GA; five great grandchildren, Andre J. Williams, FT. Hood, TX, Braylen Pollard Benton, Kaiden Pollard, Nayeli Richburg, Brooklynn Benton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
