Funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, May 23, 2026 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Dawson, officiating. Burial to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery (Old Cemetery) in Seale, AL. Public viewing is 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Friday, May 22, 2026.
George “Bo Dillie” Chatman was born on May 5, 1954 in Pittsview, AL. He took his last breath on May 14, 2026 in Phenix City, AL at 72 years old.
George “Bo Dille” Chatman was born to the late Josephine and late Arthur Chatman, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pine Hill Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL. He attended South Girard in Phenix City, AL. George loved to cook. He worked at Denny's for thirty years. He was a dedicated family man who took pride in taking care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Chatman, his father, Arthur Chatman Sr., a brother, Jerry Franklin Chatman, two nephews, Cedric Moore, and Christopher Chatman.
He is survived by three sisters, Marie Chatman, Mary Joseph, Willie Mae Smith; a brother, Arthur Chatman, Jr.; a neice, Alicia Chatman; two nieces, Cedreika Moore, Serenity Luttrell; seven great nephews, Devonte Chatman, Marquis Harps, Cedric Moore, Jr., Jeremiah Noore, Raheim Jones, Sylvester Holloway and a host of other relatives and friends.
