Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth Sherman, 83, of Chicago, IL passed Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service to be held 11:00 a.m. EST Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Bread of Life Christian Center with Pastor Darnel Skinner, Jr., officiating. Visitation is Monday, September 11, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. EST.

Visitation will also held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10-2 p.m. EST at Mid West Funeral Home Chicago, IL. Burial to follow in Oak Woods Cemetery 1035 East 67th Street Chicago, IL.

Geraldine Sherman was born September 24, 1939 to Robert and Blanche Long of Chicago, IL.

She worked at Continental Bank for over 25 years and for the Chicago Police Department until she retired. she relocated to Alabama and Columbus, Georgia to be near her son Anthony.

Geraldine married Aubrey Sherman and to this union one son was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Blanche Long and one brother, Robert, Jr.

Geraldine leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Anthony Sherman (Phyllis); two sisters, Rosalind Long and Rosalee Atkins, nephew, Kenneth Atkins; three grandchildren, Myesha, Alexus and Anthony D.; one great granddaughter, Alessia and a host of other relatives and friends.
