Glenda Chatmon, 62, passed on Friday, November 14, 2025 in Salem, AL.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, November 21, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Morgan, officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be 3--5 p.m. EST.
She was born October 7, 1963 in Lee County, AL to the late Albert Lee Jones and the late Minnie Mae Cochran Jones. At an early age she joined and worshipped at Concord Missionary Baptist until she married and moved with her family to Lake City, FL and joined Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
On Friday, November 14, 2025, Glenda entered into eternal rest.
Her precious memories will be cherished by her daughters, Angela Chatmon and Kennedy Chatmon of Lake City, FL; ex-spouse, Harold Chatmon; sisters, Mary Canty of Smiths, AL, Rose Luke and Kimbonita Wilson of Salem, AL, Bobbie Nell Morris of Phenix City, AL and Rudine Woodyard of Lagrange, GA; brothers, Loyd Jones of Opelika, AL, Morris Jones of Salem, AL and Douglas Jones of Cuthbert, GA; and aunt, Lillie Mae McKinny; sisters-in-law, Barbara Haynes, Patricia Bass King and Sandra Chatman; sisters-in-law, Dorothy โDottieโ Hudson (Borie) and Vearice Jones; brothers-in-law, Alton Luke, Larry Chatmon and Mike Chatmon and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
