Gloria Austin, 81, of Seale, Alabama, passed Thursday, March 21, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am EST, Saturday April 6, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Public viewing will be the day of service.
Gloria H. Austin was born on December 21, 1942, in Seale, Alabama.
She was a proud graduate of Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia.
Gloria's career as a bank teller, most notably at CB&T in Columbus, GA, was marked by integrity and a warm smile that welcomed all who walked through the bank's doors.
She was known for her unwavering faith and dedication as a servant of Jehovah God. Gloria was a familiar and beloved face at the Kingdom Hall in Tacoma, Washington.
Her life was a testament to her strength and devotion to her family and faith. On March 21, 2024, Gloria passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and commitment that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
She leaves to treasure many fond and loving memories her son Marcus L. Valentine; brothers, Rufus (Nora) Harris and Eugene (Connie) Harris; sisters, Barbara Ann Rowlette and Delores Crump; six grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
I am Gloria's sister Barbara. Growing up as kids we were very close. Were about one year and six months apart. We shared a lot as kids. Mama dressed her in pink , and me in blue. I hope when Jesus returns for His people, to take to heaven, she will be included.
I remember when you came to dads house to visit us. I believe you bought bikes. I also remember when you first came to stay here in Columbus Ga with aunt Barbarann. RIH
