Mr. Harvey Earl Jordan, the son of Lillie Pugh Jordan and the late Rufus Earl Jordan, was born on January 27, 1964, in Hurtsboro, AL. He departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at his home in Columbus, GA.
Harvey had a larger than life personality. He brought life and laughter to every room, if he was in the room you would know. Harvey’s light was lit by his faith. He carried his faith close to his heart, often being a source of encouragement for others, and a covering for his children. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the First Missionary Baptist Church in Hurtsboro, Alabama. He served in many capacities in the church, including an usher and Deacon.
He was a proud graduate of Russell High School’s Class of 1982, Harvey—affectionately known as “Cube”—was active in basketball, as well as the JROTC and ROTC programs. He went on to attend Alabama A&M University, majoring in Industrial Arts, and worked for Aramark in the campus cafeteria, where he touched the lives of many through his kindness and friendly spirit. His assignment of touching lives was not over in college. He continued that assignment in the trucking industry where he worked for a multitude of years. He loved the industry and teaching others how to be successful in it.
Harvey was preceded in death by his father Rufus Jordan, brother, Keith Jordan, niece Ka'Maya Jordan, and nephew Demarius Jordan.
Harvey leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 20 years, April Jordan; three daughters; Ja’Kiah Jordan, Da’Ressa Andrews, Keyona Parker; son, Christopher (Francine) Andrews and 4 grandchildren. Mother Lillie Jordan of Hurtsboro, Alabama; sisters Anita (Johnnie) Tolbert of Phenix City, Alabama, Dr. Jannie Jordan of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, and Dr. Christi (Edward) Butler of Odenville, Alabama; brother, Kelcey (Rhonda) Jordan of Valley, Alabama. A cousin who was like a brother, Jonathan (Barnetta) Jordan of Montgomery, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Alisha Phillips, Travis (Christina) Davis, Brittany (Bill) Reese, Adrienne (Phillipe) Millogo, Demarkus Jordan, Davion Jordan, Tabitha Jordan, Cody Howe, and Summer Howe.
Though Harvey’s earthly presence will be deeply missed, his faith, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
