Mrs. Hattie Luke, 70 of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, June 28, 2021 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, July 3, 2021 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Andrew Chapel A.M.E Church Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, July 2, 2021 from 12-5 p.m. EST. Ms. Hattie Mae Luke was born in Hurtsboro, AL to the late Ellis Sr. & the late Irene Luke on October 11, 1950. She attended and graduated from the school Russell County Training School in Hurtsboro and was a member of Pine Level AME Zion Church in Hatchechubbee, AL.
On Monday, June 28, 2021, Hattie was called home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her brothers, Reuben Luke, Ellis Luke Jr., Isaiah Luke, James Luke and one sister, Julia Luke Thomas.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Stephanie Luke and Sherika Luke both of Phenix City, AL; one son, Reginald Heard of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren: J’Aquarius and Da’quez Luke; two sisters, Brenda Washington and Alice (Theodis) Thomas; two brothers, Jim Luke and Johnny Luke; a dedicated niece, Tammie Washington- Johnson; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
So sorry to hear of Hattie passing. We went to Russell Training School together for a number of years and the family were our friends. We are praying for the family and loved ones. We love you Brenda and we know that losing two sisters within a few months is very hard. May God give your strength and comfort during the days ahead. Just Jesus!

Ms. Hattie you were a great pillar of our community. Riverview was and will always be a family unit and I'm glad that you got to be a significant part of that community. We will miss you terribly. May your family find peace and comfort.
