Helen Blue, 85, passed on Wednesday, July, 31, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the C.T Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home located at 1514 5th Ave, Phenix City, AL.Public visitation is 3:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, August 9, 2024.
Mrs. Helen Clara “Peggy” Blue was born August 8, 1938 to the late Jimmie Wade Morris and Mattie Murris Robinson.
Mrs Blue retired from the Muscogee County School District. She loved to cook and many got to share her delicious meals. She was the matriarch of the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Blue Jr., and her brothers, Jimmie Wade Morris Jr., Arthur Charles Morris, and Terry Tyrone Morris.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter; Jacqueline Lorraine Lewis(Porter) a step-daughter; Ms Debra Blue, two stepsons; Ralph Blue and David Blue(Angela). Four grandchildren; Timothy L Mahone, Dalicia A McCoy (Calvin), Brandon T Mahone (Shannon), Ikyll J Frazier (John);Nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grand children.Two sisters;Mrs. Gertrude Watts and Ms Renee Morris Two brothers;George Carter Jr and Donal Edward Morris Her personal aides; Mrs Darlina Hubbard and Ms. Teyasmine Thomas and a host of relatives and friends.
