James Hopkins, 58, of Columbus, GA passed on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 21, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Marco Grimes, officiating. Burial to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Public viewing is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
James A. Hopkins begin his life on October 13, 1966 in Louisburg, North Carolina. James accepted as his personal savior at an early age. James worked at Gateway car dealership for over twenty years. James also worked at American International moving company until he took illness. James cherished and loved his family dearly. He was united in matrimony with Adora Browder. He was a very devoted husband and father. He loved working with his hands, recycling and restoring used items. He had a passion for fishing, painting, and listening to his old school music. James enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to visit his family. James was such a compassionate, giving, and caring person, he never turned face to no one.
James leaves to cherish a lifetime of precious memories. A loving wife, Adora Browder, four daughters, Latreica Mitchell of Atlanta, GA, Shannon Browder of Columbus, GA, Alisha Browder of Colorado Springs, Tiffany Lias of Columbus, GA; a special grandson he enjoyed spending time with, Malik Browder( BamBam); five sisters, Britha Hopkins, Cynthia Bush both of Columbus GA, Dora Epps of Loiusburg, NC, Barber Williams of Henderson, NC, and Delores Moses of Bunn, NC; five brothers, Lamark Hopkins, Joe Hopkins, LC Hopkins all of Columbus, GA, Douglas Williams of Hillsborough, NC, Curtis Epps of Supply, NC, and Mark Epps of Greensboro, NC, a special cousin, Lisa Hightower of Columbus, GA; twelve grandkids, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
