Ms. Janet Griggs, 56, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, April 18, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. W.G. Perkins, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2022 from 1-5 p.m EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Janet Griggs was born October 25, 1965 in Phenix City, AL to the late Annie Bell Griggs and the late Mack Griggs, Sr. Janet accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL.
She graduated from Shaw High School in 1983 and worked as a Medical Assistant for over 20 years. She loved what she did.
She leaves to cherish her memories the love of her life, her son, Derrick L. Dawson (Duley); brother, Mack E. Griggs, Jr; sister, Vickie Griggs; seven nieces, Mar-yetta Griggs, April Murray, LaToya Griggs, Quintana (Kareem) Gibson, Sade Griggs, Andrence Feagins and Faith Mack; six nephews, Travis Fortson, Decarlos Dawson, Derrick Dawson, Sr., Quinton Griggs, Javian Mack and Jamar Mack; devoted friend, Mashell (Marcus) Jones and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Miss. Griggs it was awesome working for you. I am so sad I won't be able to watch the stories with you. But knowing that you are in a better place.
Sister you left without saying goodbye and take which was our ending of all our phone conversation. I thank God for you in my life which I have told you many times.you was a true friend to me and my family. Though I speak as if u are still her you knew my heart 💜 for you.
