Jerry was a proud veteran and served in the United States Army for 3 years. Jerry pursued his higher education at Columbus State University where he was currently a junior studying Kinesiology. In his down time he was a true foodie and enjoyed cuddling up for a good nap with his children.
To cherish his memory he leaves behind his loving wife, Kimberly Kerr; his beautiful children Jonah, Josiah, and Charlotte Kerr; his beloved parents, Venice Kerr Tarver and Tim Tarver (stepfather) of Phenix City and Jerry Kerr (father) of Houlka, MS; his sister, Valencia Miller and nephew Jeremiah Miller of St. Louis MO; his grandmother Mildred Henderson of Houlka, MS along with an expansive family of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

To my cousin Jerry Kerr SR. And the entire Kerr family. I want to offer my deepest condolences for your loss. I too lost a son last year in 2023 and it is the hardest thing ever. God is with you as you travel through these difficult times. Keep your eyes on the Lord he and he alone will see you through. As I read his resume I saw many good things but the greatest thing I saw was that he Loved God. So that should give us assurance that we will see him again. I love you family and have you in my prayers. 🙏🏾
To My Nephew Lil Jerry, you will be deeply missed but never ever forgotten. May the Lord bring comfort and peace to your family. And His angels continue to hold you in their loving arms. Love Auntie Terri Kerr Bazemore and Family

We've never met in person. Alyssa sent me your number to reach out to you about boxing for my son. You recently reached out to me checking on my son and his boxing and asking about Aly and Chance. It meant a lot. Showed me you were someone who cared about the youth. It's crazy that I never formally met you however when I heard the news my heart broke. I will forever remember you.
My condolences to the family.
But I know you are in a better home happy and loved and not hurting in the position you fought so hard to get away from God knew you needed to be with him. We never stopped loving you
I love you so much Jerry and I am so sorry. You should still be here I wish I can tell you that I love you. I hope you can hear me!
