Jimmie Greer, 94, passed on May 13, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m EST on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Pittsview, AL with Pastor Fred Griffin, officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Public viewing is 4:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m on Friday, May 23, 2025.
A man of quiet strength and radiant spirit, Jimmy was a true example of a life anchored in Christ. His love for the Lord was evident in his daily walk—whether through his faithful church attendance, his contagious laugh, or the kindness he extended to everyone around him.
Jimmy had a heart for people and a smile that could light up any room. He found joy in life's simple pleasures—taking long walks, riding his bicycle, dancing to good music, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all eleven of his siblings, leaving behind a legacy of love and faithfulness that spans generations.
Jimmy is survived by his devoted niece, Carrie Hill of Columbus, GA, whose love and care were a constant comfort in his later years. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Though he has departed this earthly life, the light Jimmy shared continues to shine brightly. His love for Christ, his commitment to family, and his joyful spirit will never be forgotten.
