Mr. Joe S. Johnson, 83, of Phenix, AL passed on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Green Acres Cemetery with Rev. Elijah Lamar, officiating. Visitation is Friday, January 22, 2021 from 3-5 p.m.
Mr. Joe S. Johnson was born May 29, 1937 in Lafayette, AL to the late Willie Johnson, Sr. and Alberta Freeman Johnson. He retired from a lifelong profession as a commercial truck driver with Watkins Transport.
Survivors include children, Gregory Johnson, Vivian (Samuel) Barclay and Veronica Greene; step children, Mary (Hayward) Whitaker, DeAngelo (Veronica) Hodo; sister, Selena Jones; brother, James (Gwendolyn) Johnson; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
