Obituary For John Semore Jenkins
John Semore Jenkins, 86, passed on November 18, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Min. Christine Campbell, officiating. Burial to follow in West End Cemetery. Public viewing is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Mr. Jenkins was born on July 5, 1939 in Russell County, AL to the late Jim Jenkins, Jr. and the late Savannah Phillips Jenkins. He worked for the State of Alabama until he retired. He loved to garden, watch western movies and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Jenkins leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Annie Jenkins of Phenix City, AL; one son, Casey Jenkins of Columbus, GA; one daughter, Glenna Williams of Phenix City, AL; four sisters, Katie Mae Moses and Velma Howard both of Phenix City, AL, Alberta Howard of Seale, AL and Christina Upshaw of Tallahassee, FL; one grandson and two granddaughters; two great grands, a special and devoted caretaker, Stiner Miles of Phenix City, AL; a host of other relatives and friends.
