Mr. Johnny Nickerson, 71, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, June 21, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Friday, July 2, 2021 in the C.T Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation is Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 12-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Nickerson was born July 6, 1949 in Phenix City, AL to the late Dock Nickerson and Minnie Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Nickerson; children, Gwendolyn Matthews (Robert), Betty Nelson (Rodney), Johnny Nickerson, Jr., Altravo Nickerson (Jessica), Da'kwon Nickerson; siblings, Geneva James, Eva Parkman, Gwendolyn Nickerson and Albert Nickerson, a host of other relatives and friends.
Rest easy Nick! Even though we were just next door neighbors u looked after us like we were one the boys.
Mr Johnny was one of the kindest people I have ever met. Whenever I entered the sanctuary and was greeted with his genuine smile it always made my day a little brighter.Now he is smiling in heaven. Rest in peace brother. You will be missed.
