Mrs. Josephine Ford, 71, of Jonesboro, GA passed Thursday, July 6, 2023 in Jonesboro, GA.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church,Seale, AL (Lato) with Pastor Felix Worthen, officiating. Burial to follow in Stephens Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, July 14, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. EST.
Mrs. Josephine Ford was born to the late James Howard and Elizabeth Howard in Phenix City, AL on September 29, 1951.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age at Providence Baptist Church.
Josephine was a devoted and former employee at Gate Gourmet in Atlanta, GA for over 20 years until she retired.
Josephine affectionately known as “Jean” entered into eternal life on July 6, 2023 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Horace Ford and one sister, Ella B. Howard.
Her legacies and memories will be cherished by one loving daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina (Wil) Phillips; one loving son and daughter-in-law, Chris (Tiara) Ford; ten grandchildren, Jaquavious, Jasmine, Javari, Chris Jr., Jaden, Tristan, Torrien, Tyree, Tianna and Tania; one devoted cousin, Catherine Terry of Forest Park, GA, five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
Praying for comfort, strength, healing of the heart and mind of the family. There is no earthly sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
