Mr. Kelly Pugh 52, of Union Springs, AL passed on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Montgomery, AL.
Kelly Pugh and I served together in the U.S. Army. He was a mentor and a great soldier. One thing I remember most is his passion to sing, especially Al green's songs. Sound exactly like him. Kelly Pugh was one of the real ones and I am proud to say I knew and served with him. Go 249th.
Stanford Hinson Retired
My condolences to the family. Pugh was my soldier while stationed at Ft Gordon Georgia. I was his Platoon Sgt. Unfortunately I'm just hearing of the lost of my comrade. Pugh was indeed a great soldier for in my absent if asked he would take my place. Just how confident I was to leave him in charge. He was a squared away soldier in many areas and highly motivated as well. Rest In Peace and know that your work was not in vain and I certainly appreciated your service and friendship. Platoon Sgt now retired~ SSG Gail Gasque

I would like to give my sincerest condolences to the Pugh family!!! I was stationed at Fort Gordon,GA with Pugh and he was a beautiful soul. We worked together and he made the job so much easier because he kept us all laughing constantly. His smile would literally light up the room and when he wasn't keeping us laughing, he was singing and sounding just like Al Green. Rest in paradise my buddy... fly high!!! L. Brown, Ret Army
