Obituary For Ker'Detrius T. Mercer
Mr. Ker'Detrius T. Mercer, 24, of Salem, AL passed Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Opelika, AL.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon EST, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 with Minister Bri Benton, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul C.M.E. Church Cemetery, Crawford, AL. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Ker'Detrius Tre'Nayne Mercer affectionally known as “Lil Dee" departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
He was the only child of the late Lee Carter and Melissa Mercer. He was born on Thursday, December 25, 1997 in Phenix City, Alabama.
He accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Mendoza on February 5, 2020, at Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Columbus, Georgia.
He was a 2017 graduate of Smiths Station High School. He enjoyed being the manager of the basketball team and film director for the PNN Class. He was a film director with Cascade Hill Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially with his younger cousins Kensley and Braylen.
He loved taking walks at Chewacla Park, working out and playing video games. He loved music and enjoyed laughing with everyone. He wore some of the meanest cowboy boots you’ve ever seen.
He had several occupational jobs, but his favorite was the Skye Bar. He enjoyed being around people and making them laugh.
Ker’Detrius is survived by his loving mother, Melissa Mercer (Kevin); grandmothers, Shirley Mercer and Willie Mae Hearn; grandfather, Willie James Hill; great grandfather, Moses Johnson, Jr.; aunts, Latanya Mercer, Sharon Mills, Brenda and Lestine Carter; uncles, Reginald Mercer and Leon (Lashawn) Carter; great aunts, Georgia Allen, Annette (Benjamin) Peterkin and Sherlene Mercer; great uncles, Norman Mercer and Rodney Johnson; great great aunts, Ida P. McKinnon, Renner Mercer and Willie Bell Mercer; special cousins, Ta’Ja’Kelia and Carzell Mercer; numerous relatives and friends.
