Mr. Kevin Lydell Stalling, 41, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie James Anderson Jr., and grandmother, Mattie L. Stallings, both of whom he lovingly cared for in their final days.
Born on August 1, 1983, in Phenix City, AL, Kevin was the beloved son of Marcia Stalling and the late Willie James Anderson Jr. He was a member of the Red Devil Regiment Marching Band and graduated from Central High School in 2001 and later graduated from Chattahoochee Valley Community College in 2005.
A lover of stories in all their forms, he was an avid fanfiction writer and poet. Through words, he built whole worlds, expressing both the joys and the battles within the human heart. His work often reflected the same themes that drew him to his favorite shows—anime, Transformers, and the endless, vivid universes where courage, friendship, and transformation reigned supreme.
He poured love into his family as well serving as a devoted caregiver much of his adult life to both his grandmother and father until their passing. He did so with unwavering devotion, offering comfort, dignity, and love every step of the way. It was through this quiet heroism that Kevin showed the true depth of his character. The compassion, patience, and care he showed were nothing short of extraordinary.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Marcia Nell Stalling, sister, Teneeshia Lavon Stalling of California, nephew, Emmanual James Anderson of California, aunts, Alice Greene, Lillie Mae Jones, Sandra Johnson of Phenix City, AL, uncles, Ricky (Juanita) Stallings of Phenix City, AL, Stanley Stallings of Birmingham, AL, Billy Coleman of Phenix City, AL, and other relatives and friends, who will carry forward his memory in every smile, every act of kindness, every moment when a story helps someone feels seen.
